Electrical Installation Condition Report

Need an EICR?

As a commercial landlord, including holiday rentals you are required by law to have an electrical installation condition report (EICR) for your property.

This report assesses the condition of the electrical installation and highlights any areas that need to be addressed. Without an EICR, you could be liable for a fine of up to £30,000.

As experts in electrical safety, we can provide you with a comprehensive EICR for your property. We will carry out a thorough inspection of the electrical installation and provide you with a detailed report, helping you comply with regulations and avoiding any unnecessary fines.

EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) testing is a legal requirement that the electrical safety of a property must be inspected and tested regularly. The procedure involves carrying out periodic inspections of existing installations to check that they meet the current safety regulations. An engineer will inspect and test the electrical installation, and provide a certificate with a full report on any defects found..

An EICR Test Certificate is issued following an inspection and testing process by an electrician who has certified the work as being safe. The certificate provides evidence that all necessary tests were carried out, that they were completed in accordance with current regulations and that no issues with the electrical installation have been identified.

A EICR Test Invoice includes details such as date of work, address of premises, description of work carried out, fees charged and details of any materials used. It also includes certification from either NICEICS  confirming that the specified inspection has been completed in accordance with current regulations and approved standards.

An EICR Test Sheet provides detailed information about the condition of an electrical installation. It includes information about components tested, whether any defects were found, if there are any areas requiring remedial action and any recommendations for further testing which may be needed in the future. The sheet should also include guidance on rectifying any problems found during inspection or testing processes.
